Jumping into JOY
Hello Friends,
Can you believe it? We're already in the fourth week of Advent, and it's all about JOY! 🌟 Advent is this beautiful season of anticipation, where we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Jesus' birth. It's a time to reflect, hope, peace, love, and, yes, rejoice!
This week, we're turning up the volume on joy. Joy isn't just happiness that comes and goes with the ups and downs of life. It's deeper, more resilient, and it's all about finding delight in the presence of Jesus in our lives. So, how can we infuse more joy into this week? It's time to create a "Joy List." Write down the simple things that bring you joy—whether it's sipping hot cocoa, watching a favorite movie, or calling a friend. Then, make it a point to do as many things on that list as you can this week. It's a fun, practical way to remind ourselves of the joy surrounding us every day!
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusts in him, and he helps me.
My heart leaps for joy,
and with my song I praise him.
Psalm 28:7
Joy leaps from our hearts when we trust in the Lord and recognize His help and protection in our lives. The birth of Jesus is the ultimate reason for joy—not just during Advent but all year round. It's the good news that keeps on giving!
So, let's dive into this week with hearts open to joy, celebrating the incredible gift of Jesus and the countless reasons we have to be joyful. Make that "Joy List," check it twice, and let's spread some cheer!
Wishing you a week filled with laughter, happiness, and all the joy your heart can hold,
Lisa
P.S. Remember, joy is contagious. The more you share it, the more it grows. Let's make this week the most joyful one yet! 🎈
