Words have energy and power with the ability to help, to heal, to hinder, to hurt, to harm, to humiliate and to humble.”
God speaks to us through HIS WORD- collection of words
Proverbs 16:24; “Kind words are like honey – sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
Power in words
Words can influence us, inspire us or just as easily bring us to tears. Words change our relationships, our demeanor, our entire system of beliefs, and even our businesses.
Psychologists have found that our subconscious mind interprets what it hears very literally. The words that come out of your mouth therefore create the reality you inhabit
Ephesians 4:29 “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”

Word Of The Year —-- You. and God.
Sometimes it can be surprising.
Last year my word was Focus. The year before my word was Courage.
This year everytime I went to pray about it the Lord brought the word FRUIT to mind.
I first kind of laughed it off because I like a word with a lot of oomf. That did not seem like a strong word to me. But everytime I kept thinking about my word for 2023, that was the word God brought to mind.
One thing I encourage you to do when you get your Word For The Year is do a word study in scripture of that word. You may even be led to a verse that can be a theme verse for you with that word.
My verse this year is:
Colossians 1:10-12
Live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.
